San Bartolo se prepara para competir por el premio ECOPLAYAS, Perú 2009. El 21 de Febrero se realizó en San Bartolo la limpieza total de las arenas de la playa Norte, el objetivo es llevar a este balneario al primer lugar y de paso "educar" a los usuarios (visitantes y locales) sobre los efectos nocivos que significa para el medio ambiente, arrojar desperdicios a la playa y el mar.

San Bartolo prepares itself to compete by the prize ECOPLAYAS, Peru 2009.
